Sujo's glass jewels are made by using both stained glass and dichroic glass. Dichroic glass is made by processing microscopic thin layers of metal oxides on clear glass with reduction firing in a vacuum chamber, creating a beautiful reflective glass. The pieces of glass are first cut and arranged in layers, then heated in a kiln to over 1600 degrees F. It sometimes takes several firings until the piece is completed.

Each piece consists of at least 3 different pieces of glass, layered and artistically arranged to create a beautiful, unique art piece when melted and fused together. Some of the pieces are individually hand wire wrapped with either sterling silver or gold filled wire.

Multiplies can be made of any of the jewelry pieces you see in our Product Directory, but because each piece is individually made, no piece will be exactly like another. This, of course, is the beauty of purchasing any hand made item . . . each piece is unique.
